Special Visitors 
Today we had a visit from the fire service who taught us about fire safety in the home.  We also had the opportunity to go in the fire engine.
Maths - 06.03.2025 - ordering heights
We have been measuring length and height.  Today we compared our own heights and put ourselves in order of height.
Commando Joe - 05.03.2025
We have been learning about Ed Stafford's record breaking trek along the Amazon River.  Today we had to cross the Amazon River and set up our base camp.
English 12.02.2025
We wrote acrostic poems about Valentine's Day.
English - 30.01.2025
In English we have been writing the story of Grace Darling.  We have worked extremely hard and our teachers are very proud of us.  Today we went to Reception and Year 1 to share our stories with them.

In our English lesson, we used role play to enjoy a day at the seaside.
Christmas 2024
We all enjoyed our Christmas dinner.
English
In English we wrote poems about fireworks.
 
Humanities
We learned about Rosa Parks and how she fought for equal rights.  We acted out how she refused to give up her seat on the bus.
English - 19.03.2025
We are writing instructions this week to explain how to make a potion.  Today we made our own potions.
Maths - 13.03.2025 measures
Today we have been comparing measures.  We used the scales to find the mass and put the objects in order of size.
13.02.2025 - Art
In art we have been exploring pattern and colour.
Christmas 2024
Our Christmas breakfast was great.
Maths
We used dice to make two digit numbers and partitioned them into tens and ones.
English
In English we wrote instructions to make a paper rocket.  We followed the instructions and tested our rockets to see how far they would fly.
Transition Day
On our transition day we learned about Mary Seacole and Florence Nightingale.  We took on the role of soldiers on the battlefields and nurses who treated them.
